Top 5 Quarterbacks to Have the Most Success In the 2023 Season

#5: Justin Herbert – Los Angeles Chargers

Despite a heartbreaking playoff loss at home to the Jaguars, Justin Herbert still had a tremendous season passing for 4,739 yards with 25 touchdowns and a 93.2 passer rating. With many of his offensive weapons remaining for next season, he will have the chance to show just how explosive this offense can be. Given that WR Mike Williams can stay healthy, they will still have WR Keenan Allen and RB Austin Ekeler in the backfield who has been nothing short of spectacular as of late putting up 13 TD’s and rushing for almost a 1,000 yards last season. With improvements and adjustments made in the offseason, we should continue to see the Chargers remain an offensive threat to any defense.

#4: Aaron Rodgers – New York Jets

Despite the veteran QB finding himself with a new team and offensive groove, we cannot ignore the fact that Rodgers will be leading a Jets team that has both offensive and defensive rookie of the years and are poised for even more success in 2023. With RB Breece Hall, and acquisitions of Mecole Hardman, and former teammate Alan Lazard, Rodgers should have plenty of options in the open field. Another factor that will contribute to Aaron Rodgers’ success is their young and talented defense. We have all seen what Aaron Rodgers can do when given more opportunities on the offensive side of the ball. With all of these factors, the Jets should see massive improvements in 2023.

#3: Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals

Not much needs to be said about the performance of Joe Burrow and the impact he has had on the Bengals Organization. The young QB passed for over 4,400 yards with 35 touchdowns and a 100.8 passer rating. With little changes in personnel for the 2023 season, and improvements made on the offensive line, the table is set once again for Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Perhaps the improvement to the offensive line will be the biggest impact for next season, as Joe Burrow will have more time to find his open receivers using his tremendous accuracy and mobility in the pocket. At the very least, we should continue to see the Bengals remain a powerhouse in the AFC.

#2: Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen has been nothing short of spectacular as of late putting his passing and rushing capabilities on full display. In the 2022 season Allen rushed for over 700 yards with a 96.6 passer rating. Allen has proved that his presence on the field alone is a threat to any caliber defense as he often times creates a positive gain out of a broken play using his size, strength, and speed at the QB position. With a familiar offense for the upcoming season, and a franchise that has longed for a Super Bowl since their existence, we can expect the Buffalo Bills to be a major contender with Josh Allen leading the charge in 2023.

#1: Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes continues to showcase his capabilities as an elite passer and improviser year after year. One might have to stop and wonder – will he ever have a bad or just mediocre season? Mahomes and TE Travis Kelce seem to be the unstoppable duo as Kelce has tallied 496 catches for over 6,300 yards and 48 touchdowns in his career with Mahomes and Co. Kelce is perhaps a favorite target of Mahomes given the fact that Mahomes can be an elite scrambler and often times finds Kelce on broken plays for huge gains. If there are improvements to the Kansas City defense, we could potentially see the ball end up in Mahomes hands more often. With more opportunities for Mahomes, we can expect the Chiefs to continue to be nothing short of spectacular and one of the most exciting teams to watch in the NFL.
