A New Dynamic Duo in Baltimore?

The Baltimore Ravens have acquired WR Odell Beckham Jr. in hopes to get their offense on the right track. With the Ravens coming to the negotiating table with their star QB Lamar Jackson, it does seem like Lamar will have a future as the team’s franchise quarterback. Will the addition of WR Odell Beckham prove to be the right move or just a distraction to an offense that is looking to improve from last season?

Odell Beckham is coming off a torn ACL injury which occurred in the 2021 season and was inactive in 2022. There were reports that the LA Rams were not satisfied with Beckham’s rehabilitation and was released. Perhaps there was something they saw that prohibited them from resigning the veteran wide receiver. Beckham will find his new home for the 2023 season with a Ravens team that is certainly not lacking in the talent column and is looking to win the AFC North Division.

Although the veteran wide receiver has had some lowlights on the field, as his ego seems to get in the way of his play, he should see some success with a young and talented offense. With receivers Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews, and running back J.K. Dobbins, Beckham will look to add the final touch to an offense that could be the best in the AFC North Division. The key to the Raven’s success this season will be to provide adequate protection for Lamar Jackson, with an effective running game with J.K. Dobbins. If this happens, we should see an explosive and quite possibly unstoppable offense. With arguably the two most powerful personalities in the game with Jackson and Beckham, the duo should not let their emotions get the best of them and keep their heads in the game. So how will the Ravens season go in 2023? Positive Attitudes and the ability to focus on the primary goal may ultimately be the answer for this team.
